Cupboard

Gary is working on a new cupboard for us. He moved the door to the garage and put it at the top of the stairway. This is a much more logical location for the door, as now we can actually use all the of the dining area floor space.

The new cupboard is a pop-out, built into exactly the same frame as the former doorway, and framed and insulated. He covered the inside with oak plywood and tiled it with marble. It looks very nice. He still needs to add the wall trim, the slotted plate rack and shelves and the recessed lighting, but it's looking good so far!

Garden

I got the snap peas and the greens seeds in the ground yesterday. I started sprouting the peas on Friday afternoon, and they were ready to go in the ground yesterday, Monday. It felt good to get out the rototiller and amend the soil and get it all nice and fluffy. Felt even better to put seeds in the soil.

I put them all in the bed in front of the living room window. Now I need to get the soaker hose laid out so I don't have to water them by hand with a wand.
